What a Man!

I've always felt blessed that I found Rorke and that our relationship thrives with each day we are given. When you find the person that improves your day, encourages your passions, and supports your needs, it is special. We both feel thankful to have been given the gift of one another and take care to state our love each day and not take it for granted. Seeing Rorke as a father has opened my heart even more. He loves our little girl so much and looks forward to time with her, even changing her dirty diapers! He tells her stories of the adventures they will get in together and reminds her how beautiful and smart she is each day. Reeve loves her papa and I can already tell she is going to be a daddy's girl! Just as Rorke encourages me to live life to its potential, he instills the same into our daughter. She will have an amazing example of what a man can be and that fills me with hope and joy. I can feel confident that Reeve will have a solid self esteem and hold high standards for the men she allows into her world. She will see how her papa treats her mama and expect the same from those she meets. She will find happiness and be happy knowing her papa will always be there and was always there for each step she took. Without fully being aware, Reeve already knows her future is safe with him and her eyes gleam with assurance as he carries her firmly around the house and holds her tight as we walk through the park. He is the protector of our family and Reeve doesn't question it, even now at 8 weeks old. If she had the words, she would say, "Thank you papa. Thank you for loving me and taking care of me. For changing my diapers and kissing my belly. Thanks for changing my diaper in the middle of the night and hugging me when I'm fussy. Thanks for holding my mama's hand tight while she brought me into the world. Thank you for being a good papa. I love you." Until she has the words, her smiles will say it all.

Happy Father's Day Rorke! Looking forward to many more....
