Officially on Maternity Leave!

My last day of work was March 31st, and I can't tell you what an awesome call it was to NOT work up until my due date!  It is so nice to just focus on relaxing, getting final details ready for Baby Denver's abode, and taking strolls through the park in the middle of the day.  It is exactly what I imagined my time to be before the little one decides to greet us with his or her amazing presence.  Now that I'm off during the day, I think of Rorke and want to catch up at lunchtime, realizing too late that we are too close to our due date for me to casually call him in the middle of the day.  He stopped a meeting with an Admiral last week because I called, assuming that it could be THE call, and he needed to pick up the line.  Ooops.  Lesson learned.  I am looking forward to the THE call though, as my waddling is getting more exaggerated and my sleep more disturbed by that beloved heartburn I have been reading about but have managed to avoid up until these last couple of weeks.  Hope your phone will be ringing soon!
