Graduation, Anniversary, and Resignation

It has been way too long since I've posted something. First news is that Rorke has graduated from his Master's program. He put in an amazing effort over the past year and a half, even among my pregnancy, a move into a new house, and the birth of our incredible daughter--he managed to have lifted spirits and still cleaned the bathrooms for me! :) We are so proud of him!
On the same day that Rorke graduated, we celebrated our 5 year anniversary. It's amazing that 5 years have already passed, and to be honest, our relationship and life is more than I even dreamed. Rorke and I continue to grow in our love, respect, and dedication to one another and now that we have added Reeve into our family, life has improved tenfold. What joy a little 12 pound girl can bring! She continues to bring such light into our life and has shifted our life priorities drastically--
Which brings me to the next bit of news--I gave my 2 week notice at work last week. After much discussion and number crunching, I have decided (we have decided as a family) to be a stay at home mom. If you had asked me whether or not that would be something I wanted a year ago, I would have said 'no', but now that Reeve is in our life, I can't imagine doing anything else. The strong urge I have to invest myself in our family and the raising of our daughter was eye opening. She is so important to us, and I wanted to have the time and energy to give her all that I could each day. I feel so blessed that we can even consider this as an option in this economy. It won't come without sacrifice, but what great rewards do?
Looking forward to what's ahead...
